I note that the presentation recording on you tube is getting a decent amount of interest with 1.2k views already. I've got other webinars from KPO and other companies bookmarked and they've had around 200 to 300 views in the 3 years since added.

Even BHP and CSL earnings snapshot videos have only had 1.7k and 1.4k views respectively. Commsec's Morning and Market Close reports typically only get 2.5k and 4.2k views per day.

What this tells me is that this investor briefing from KPO yesterday has sparked a large amount of interest.

From watching the Q&A portion tonight it was interesting to note that a significant portion of the pre-FEED work has already been done on three sites and KPO expect that the other two projects would quickly catch up. They have already been running competitive bidding for carbon capture and EPC, sites are largely fully secured, Myers additional land being the exception (how dare the land owner go to Hawaii for a holiday), AESO electricity interconnect application process for all sites are progressing, etc.

In terms of the space KPO are seeking to enter with these projects in conjunction with Crusoe and potentially other data centre operators, Matt Jenkins described the situation as a generational investment opportunity.

When you take into account that KDP have 1.7GW worth of projects in the planning process, even if you take the low point in the valuation for these projects that would give KPO a $170m entity value or at current shares on issue of 6.2 cents versus our current share price of 1.0 cents.

It would seem that we are going to need to sell one or two plants to crystalise some decent value to KPO in the near term as that would then give us the cash to progress through to FID on one or more of these co-located projects and at the same time it would significantly firm up the valuation for the market on just what KPO is worth as it would give the market a concrete $ value to ascribe to the remaining projects.

Meanwhile, whilst developing these existing projects, KDP are continuing to search out even more suitable sites with at least one being looked into at present as per Ross' comments right near the end.

I reckon there will be takers for a share of the electricity tolling revenue. KDP might be able to set up a trust that owns the tolling cashflows and powerstations, and sell units in it. That would be an infrastructure type investment, probably on a high cashflow multiple. And the kicker would be a possible extension of operations after 15 years with a detailed operation, and the option of taking market risk at that time.
