I was wrong-footed by your comment until I realised by the word " funds" you meant broking houses. I thought you meant managed funds like Perennial (Natural Resources) Fund or Janus Henderson. The brokers are doing the (+/- dirty) work for those to a large extent. (That may include warehousing).
