Until there is a car on the road with a solid state battery at a price that people can afford to buy it is speculation. There are a number of proposed solid state batteries that have graphite content, there isn't any way of knowing where the cards will fall until they do. More reason why the management of this company just need to move now. Li-Ion will always have price on its side because making solid state batteries is substantially more energy intensive, Toyota are still mass producing Ni-MH because of the price advantage over Li-Ion, Ni-MH is an inferior battery technology but it endures because it is cheaper.
