Its similar to oil, without some demand supply mechanism to protect the oil price its capable of being the cheapest part of the shipment, the oil drum could cost more than the oil.

If they manage the supply/demand in a way similar to say OPEC and with of near 90% of worlds cobalt, the price they would seek could sit around the US$35,000/$45,000 which would certainly make most cobalt players happy enough.

It is a new developement, worth watching for cobalt interests.

Agree philh9,,,,,, apart from this development there is also another problem in Congo. Civil unrest is seriously affecting the oppressed Congolese population. Terrible atrocities are occurring in many villages that is tearing the country apart. iMO
