I get the impression from some people I’ve spoken to that they don’t realise how efficient ISL is. You can leach whole mountains if the slope of the flanks are suitable without cutting the ground apart from the drilling at the top to pump the fluids into the ground and a trench at the bottom to collect the pregnant mineralised fluid which is piped to the mill for extraction.
Mobs like VMM have to pay a mining fleet to excavate it bucket by bucket then truck it to the mill to leach in tanks.
Big difference.
