@hi@noddan@Margaret63 Wonderful roses - congratulations!! I grow nothing but honkey-nut trees, which are again blossoming, as well as putting forth fresh nuts - the local parrots are going crazy over them, breaking branches all over - but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Have gotten used to leaving it all to rot on the ground, but will have to tackle it, eventually. My big disaster last week was, that I had had a low level cold all week, eventually got better and then tried to tackle my home-cleaning, accidentally leaving a tap running in the bathroom. I went onto other tasks, sat down, looked at a book which I am reading at the moment, which is amazing (The Leopard) fell asleep and woke to the 'Red Sea' rising in my corridor. Had to deal with a flood of water in the corridor as well as some adjacent rooms, have just been on the blower to Insurance Co. - got an emergency service out who dealt with most of it ($650, initial quote: $2100) - but may have to replace carpet, it still stinks . . .
But the good news is: @NoBoDe is back home, can breathe freely if he breathes in a certain way, but needs oxygen at home. He has got it all now - is back home - no longer drinks, smokes - wants to live. And asked me to say 'hello' to anyone who still remembers him. I still think he is on limited time (but aren't we all?) - and hope he will get to posting on-line again. He didn't say he would, but I am guessing without drink and cigarettes he will be looking for something to do . . . . He really did dodge 'the big one' this time!
