you must be talking about the republicans in US of A because you surely can't be talking about Australia.
Re the repairs - I've had a brilliant idea, why don't the insurance companies pay for the damage ohh hang on that won't work because then they'll just put a levy on everybody's insurance.
Hang on then maybe "the govt" can fund it and therefore we taxpayers won't have to pay.
Whoops there's a flaw there but I just can't figure it out at the moment.
