I don't see a conspiracy. I see a guy who's looking pretty defeated and may well be weighing up his options.
He probably thought Anteotech was as much of a no brainier 2 years ago as we did, and needs a win as much as we do imo. The idea for a pivot may come from Germany if Merc is seen as problematic.
