Many here lost significant money once again after a CEO lost faith in the company just months into the role. The same pattern is playing out at Zip Co. Larry Diamond, the founder and former CEO, resigned and offloaded most of his holdings. Yesterday we learned that Peter Gray stepped down as ANZ CEO and will likely be gone entirely in the coming months.BNPL companies can push as much TTV as they want, but margins remain razor thin, leaving little actual profit. Take Zip for example, $6.247 billion in TTV for the first half of 2025, yet it scraped together a mere $23 million in net profit. Lets not forgot of the $100s of millions of dollars ZIP lost in prior years. No wonder Keast walked away and BNPL founders are bailing. An absolute joke and I feel sorry for those who believed in this company.
