The Texans probably could takeover INR with a recommended offer at 20c. US$300m. Equity funding of project - US$700-750m. Bit of a steal given the multi-generational size of resource. Then flick it on to Rio.
Snag is likely to be change of control clauses in debt funding and offtakes. And Texans would bear CBD risk.
So this is probably not a runner. It seems more likely that the Texans will takeover SSW’s position in the JV.
