the fact there is that opportunity for a 'spurious correlation' is concerning. and entirely a function of not knowing the MoA.
We're not talking about paracetemol here. we're no talking about a bit of a headache and we don't know the MoA but hey, it's $2 and t works. We're talking about 1.5 million dollar treatments. And if you think for one second the insurance industry isn't going to do absolutely eveyrthing it can to get out of honouring it's commitments because its going to cost their shareholders dearly.... you have some serious thinking to do. Ryoncil is going to cost them over $100 000 000 every single year for treatments that don't work.
They will use the MoA argument. They will use the Japan experience argument. They will probably find out who among the senior exec pushed their dog around like a wheelbarrow when they were kids.
SrGVHD in kids is costing insurance $900 million right now. and that's going to increase to $1 500 000 000, That's $1.5 billion, if MSB has its way. Not to mention that's going to be $400 000 000 on failed treatments. where the child passes anyway.
I have no agenda. I live in a world of cold facts and reality. Insurance companies are unethical.
If MSB works out a way to reduce costs, that will all change.
