On every metric, this is wrong for existing shareholders. As evidenced by the sell-down today. It is simply an exercise to increase the FUM and hence the fees. PGF has an excellent track record to date with a good profit reserve and dividend yield. But, even despite today's sell-off, it is still trading at a premium of almost 15% to its post-tax NTA. This announcement was all the justification I needed to exit my position.
