ou guys know that I love the science. I want to try and dig deep into it to know just how iPPS works, why it works and why it is so proficient in what it does.Yes of course it is a struggle as the science gets darned complex at times. While the science is good, there is another important piece of the puzzle that I love. Its the front line. What are the end users of the product saying?
If they love it....
...I love it.
If they love it, they will buy more and we all then get a sense of how this will perform.
I was telling my good mate in Sydney on the buzzer (phone) the other day, we are slowly starting to witness early queues...patients lining up to try out the new kid on the block...iPPS ....I love it when a queue forms, it tells us the interest..it gives us a window into the future....yes of course it wont work for everyone, but what will numbers be like in the future?
Lines forming for Injectable Pentosan..?.
To this day I still see queues forming at a handful of stores, I know that if these lines form regularly, the product is wanted.
Now here above is another line that's been forming over time for a company called Lovisa...a lovely upwards pattern, sure, full of ups and downs but what is the long term trajectory? I used to own a good amount, bought at IPO, but sold it way too early at an average of around $12...I'm left with just a handful of shares (100), It's a mistake I just ain't making with PAR. Learnt me lesson.
It's the early signs we are getting that helps us to understand what future demand might be like one day. It's the same case with Lovisa...always busy stores. I deliberate take a gander every time I pass a store, I've never seen them empty.
- It's a wanted product
- Quick stock turnovers
- Fresh themes, constantly updated
- Lower, affordable price points but all the while not compromising too much on quality.
Barriers to entry don't seem to be that large for Lovisa and yet they perform well with a good consistent messaging and staying relevant and on point in the fashion scenes...
Now contrast this to us...
- A wanted product
- No competition
- Safe
- Not only nice to have, a must have
- Pain, not merely transient fashion, driver.
- Patient convenience, you don't need to take those shots weekly forever.
- Get in early and you may just repair the micro damage and put in place a lasting solution, at least in a lot of cases.
- Systemic
- Durable
- Enormous wider market potential with many possible future indications to address
- Potential for yearly repeat model in many cases
- Copyable? Not easily, others have tried and have given up, molecule extremely complex and needs a supremely excellent manufacturing master (developed over not years but 7 decades) to execute and withstand many random audits over time. Batch to batch consistency - second to none. There is no match for bene GmbH.
So, tonight, let's again revist patient 'S' and his experience of iPPS so far...
But first, a little background and then the update.
BACKGROUND
Yeah it's been some time since we had an update, would you believe I last posted on Patient S way back in September 2023!
How time flies.
I will post the first three posts at the end of this update post. There are some problems with rendering some images (Have logged it numerous times with HC admin)...but it's the text that's the good stuff.
In a nutshell, I have a good pal, let's call him M. He in turn has a pal called Mr S. This story revolves around S and his journey with iPPS.
He used to be an engineer. He developed pain in his knee and it got worse over time. He also had higher blood pressure borderline having to take medication for it.
The pain would build in the knee on a daily basis and by the end of the day, it was hurting and he had had enough.
Now while that in itself is bad, it also affected his sleep. This then had the cyclic effect of making him tired the next day...and on it went.
So he got onto the iPPS treatment.
That's where I got involved.
No, I'm not a Doc, but I did stay in regular touch with Mr S and wrote his entire experience in a diary after conducting some long phone calls. Those accounts you will find at the end of this post.
Keeping a patient diary...
The long and the short of it....his pain virtually vanished, he got his sleep back and how about this for a bonus.....
....Ready?
His blood pressure NORMALISED.Can I just say that once more.
His blood pressure went down, back to a normal range.
In case any, and I mean ANY, of you are wondering what Mozz is on about....blood pressure stems from inflammation in the kidneys. Look up my older posts on it.
Oh ok, I will do it for you, follow this link:
BLOOD PRESSURE AND IPPS? ARE THEY LINKED? YES THEY ARE
Hellllllooo investors ! (not advice - see disclaimers at bottom of this post).
....so what then is the update after all this time?
THE UPDATE
Right, so it's been a decent amount of time since Mr S had the initial shots of iPPS.
His first ever injection was 18th May 2023. That was almost 2 years ago.
His Mate M called me the other day and told me that he recently had a walk with S and he distinctly remembers the look on S's face pre iPPS , Patient 'S' would be wincing with every step when they walked up a gentle sloped hill together back in the day. Now, he is a changed man according to M.
The update?
Well imagine, after almost two years, S is in NO pain !
But enough from me, let's hear his exact words as he sent me this recent update via email.
About 6 months ago I got a new push bike and started riding about 3 times a week. Bikes these days are so good a lot bigger than older ones and the gears and brakes are so good. Anyway fantastic to ride. There are a few good hills around here, which give’s the legs a nice workout. This has been so good for my knees, l have for all intents and purposes no pain in my knees. It almost hard to believe how good it is. So it maybe that it takes longer than expected to get to 100% or maybe the bike riding just finish it off.l don’t know how many other people have had such a brilliant outcome. At this time I don’t intend to have a booster, l will wait to see if I get any symptoms, but at this stage I can’t see why there would be. Anyway all I can say is don’t sell any shares because this bloody works.
MR "S" - 12th Feb 2025
Mate....I so love these raw accounts.
Now remember, Mr S has not only not had any boosters yet, he is taking NO analgesics whatsoever, no Panadol, no NSAIDS, no Tramadol.
He is loving life.
This is what iPPS has done for him. Yes it is n= 1...but what a glimpse into the power of iPPS. Even if just a small fraction of the OA and a small fraction of the population in pain, emulates his story, it has a heck of a lot of potential.
But this story of our wonderful Mr S won't end here, I do intend on following him for at least a little longer...maybe in a year or so I'll reach out for another update?
I already look forward to reporting back to you on the next Mr S diary update...
Cheers
MozzUsual disclaimers
1) DYOR
2) Just because Mr S is loving life as a direct result of iPPS, does not necessarily mean all iPPS patients will derive the same positive and magnitude of effect.
3) Mr S owns shares of Par, however, his account is genuine. I have met him in the flesh on more than one occasion, it's a real account from a very decent, down to earth guy.
