I doubt Sandoz would make this investment without preliminary indications of a successful trial; that said, I think now that it is only a matter of time. The sleep aid market in the USA alone is close to $30 billion a year and climbing at 7% per year. Even a modest market penetration - and with Sandoz or its equivalent driving the marketing, I also believe that is a given - the royalties will be in the tens of millions. How long will this take? Possibly a lot less time than you might expect. Sandoz (or its equivalent) will open doors.
