poppy sorry for not responding to your intersting snippets ..however finally ..,On your last comment you mentioned you missed out because you sold on a very strong pull back and on many occasions people do the same. I used to trade a great deal and I did make money on different shares often cutting with a small loss but recouping fairly quickly in others. I noticed that many companies have major pull backs to then go on to be winners...so I changed my strategy to a maximum of five names and a solid core back ground of Investment in Whisky barrels which gives me a steady capital appreciation. I also average my shares investment pull backs..., My main Criteria for investment in share is a price a lot less than book value and with strong growth coming through... like Pen..,If the fundamentals are there I have no problem averaging as I NEVER buy a full position but average very slowly into my share investments ..after all value is always value ..but price is always a moving target.
Again thank you for you many comments Poppy.
All the best to all.
