I think payback and positive net cashflow are different. To achieve 3 years payback period, they will need to have positive cashflow a lot earlier than 3 years, it looks like from year 1 in figure 16.
The financial model is way optimistic though. $4.6/lbs copper price is almost 10% higher than current spot price.
