Doubt HCW will not drop their rent as they have very long leases with a WALE of over 11 years!! That would be the best REIT I've seen. Also CPI increases. The board of HCW is independent of HMC so couldn't do a dodgy trade off on lower rent as it would be obvious. Also a competitive environment so why take lower rent when multiple parties want the asset?
if healthscope get kicked out then HMC or others take over at a big discount
id imagine when Healthscope pay the rent in a few days to stop the takeover there will be no market sensitive announcement made as it doesn't suit them.
