There is no transition without gas, the chief executive of AustralianSuper has declared at a business conference in Sydney.
A growing number of Australian energy companies have complained that the country’s superannuation industry has mixed priorities – with some favouring an accelerated transition and others pushing for financial returns.
Offering unequivocal support, Paul Schroder, chief executive of AustralianSuper, said gas is a critical enabler.
“Let me be clear, there is no transition without gas,” Mr Schroder said.
