How misguided can US president be imposing tariffs on NAFTA partners and believing he is doing a good thing? Inflation will skyrocket, people will pay more for their goods, and jobs will shrink as people are laid off due to expensive parts and rising costs, for American-made goods. John Deere has already moved all its production to their Mexico plant, leaving thousands of Americans without a job. Gold will hit new highs as KCN shares languish in a cess of misinformation and loiter. Our BOD will no doubt blame KCN's poor performance on the American economy, even if it will have the opposite effect.
How can Americans allow this moron like Trump to run the country. And it's not as though he sprung it on the people overnight, he has been saying what he plans to do with tariffs at all his conventions, and the people just accepted it as a good strategy. This brings me to my bedrock belief, American are really stupid and uneducated. He attacks Zelenskyy, a country invaded by Russia, he called Zelenskyy ungrateful and is shown the door. Trump then sides with Putin (a dictator) and tells Ukraine, they will have to make concessions by giving up all the conquered land to Russia and allow the Americans to mine Ukraine's rare earth as reparations for the 300 billion given to them by the previous administration.
I couldn't care less what the United States does internally. But as it affects all of us worldwide, something has to happen to take this narcissist out of power. I'll even bet Trump will try to have the 22nd Amendment repealed. Economically speaking, we are on a very slippery slope, and I expect to see another 7% decline in stocks around the world in the coming weeks. Is this your way of making 'America great again,' President Loonatic?
Just a shout out to our reserve governor Ms Bullock for refraining from reducing interest rates. It was a good call to keep interest rates where there are presently. I would make sure rates stay where they are for the next twelve months while the world proseses Trumps irractic behavior. The United States of America, a once loved nation is now the pariah of the free world. That's why Sudi's are trading oil in Yuen instead of Dollars. The same goes for the EU, they are trading in Euros, I don't see a big future for the US reserve currency for much longer, if only I could trust the Chinese anymore than I trust the US. Perhaps the EU will someday replace those fears with a EU reserve currency?
