Jeanluc - In terms of VAU's current performance, I think it's worth taking into account that there are a lot of shareholders who've bought VAU shares not so long ago and would have paid in the very low 30's.
For these shareholders (and maybe a few short-term traders as well) the subsequent appreciation in the VAU share-price is giving them nothing to complain about. From where it was about 6 months ago, VAU's share-price has now appreciated about 40% (that's 40% in the past six months not 40% p.a. over that time).
Also, the shareholders who took what was a generous price from SLR in the takeover and who then decided to buy back in again after the "overinflated" price came back a bit will similarly have no complaints about the more recent performance of the VAU share-price.
