Fair summary, T. To me, there is a general malaise. Volumes suggest low buying appetite (not just with Elders). That malaise, in my opinion, is reflected by macro economics with the ABS cost of living indices suggesting a significant proportion of Oz households have been hit hard by inflation while real household incomes have dropped significantly.
Does this flow over into farming households and affect their farming/investment conditions? I'd say so but, ultimately, a farmer still has to farm and the world has to eat. Perhaps another half yearly for ELD to prove that it has digested its recent acquisition.
I think it is just a general funk during a period of volatility. I'm happy to hold and wait. GLTAH Keith
