Short position increased by 139,779 shares on the 3rd. The company buyback purchased 114,968 on that day. It definitely seems like doubling down to stop the SBB from pushing the price up. Data from the 4th will be interesting because the SBB wasn't the biggest buyer that day but the share price dropped 6.6%. There was some selling but also more volume from UBS and Morgan Stanley compared to the 3rd.
