They did but if you look at ALB chart I posted above it's encouraging but has a lot of work to go before it looks bullish.

That big red line is the POC (point of control), in other words the most traded price of 2025.

Monday we saw a high volume dump and since then we've had 3 green days in a row but still hasn't reclaimed Mondays losses.

So whilst it's trading below the POC we may just be looking at shorts covering to 'fake' strength (think of the POC as instos 'break even' price)

Where it becomes interesting (and hopefully more encouraging) is the $59M print yesterday and another $47M trade that hit Monday that price is now above both of those trades - just not far enough above to be convincing that they were new longs opened.

That's why I said what happens next is important...

Regarding the dump through 2.3c on AGY, the sector is one that's currently in the doldrums and AGY is on C & M so don't expect the sp to light up any time soon.

Not saying it can't but realistically it's not positioned all that great right now.

If the heavy trades on ALB are instos forming a base for a reversal higher then maybe AGY might look a little better soon.

If the heavy trades on ALB is the loading zone for a new leg lower then Houston we may have a problem...

Not that I have a huge amount of faith in management but even these guys will know any positive Ann's right now will just be dumped in an abyss, so you'd hope any string of good news is waiting for a better macro picture before being released.

Some may see this as a good opportunity, some will see it as gambling and some will see AGY as a place where money goes to die.

That's all fine as each to their own but I do like when threads stay on theme rather than getting personal on punters...
