crossing road involves risk and you take that risk because you do have most items under your control i.e. you can see, you can run , you can walk, you can use brain to stop if needed...!
while putting fund into HCW you even don't know with assurity what rent will they get or not, how bad the situation is, are the parties circulating serious , you don't know if you get any dividend at all, you don't know who will buy and how much rent they negotiate..!
so your decision to invest purely depending upon gut feeling and punt as you literally can't workout where the end is and what are the chances of outcome etc...while same is not the case with road crossing...there are more known factor and more thing you can control.
