Yes, I agree that this is quite an important release. A lot of drugs get killed as soon as they show negative side effects. However that being said, I think it was anticipated that CVac would not show any side effects. Unlike other cancer fighting agents, the dendritic cell method essentially boosts the immune response and doesn't really attack anything. At least that's how it's been explained to me.
One thing to keep in mind: This type of method might work much better for prostate cancer (as for DNDN) because prostate cancer is a slow mutating cancer and rarely kills at a young age. The question is how well does it work for a more aggressive form of cancer? Whether or not such cancers are immune related is controversial.
