I think an overseas CEO could work, it certainly has pro’s and con’s but it’s also a challenge. You do want CEO in same place as most of management and near external stakeholders.
Yes the global expansion warrants a globally focused CEO but at this size of business can probably have a country head for USA and have a local CEO.
