Being a residential property landlord is not a profitable business. My original plan was to become a self funded retiree by investing in housing but bad tenants changed my plans. Now I invest in commercial property only. thanks to NCAT and legislation around residential property renting. Rents are going to jump as there will be lower investment in housing in years to come.
