    I agree, but I don't think they would give up if the flow test after 2-3 weeks of flow did not achieve their 2-3mm cfpd target. Let's say the initial flow rate from Canyon 1H is about 2.5mm cfpd, but after 2-3 weeks of flow is around 1mm cfpd. They might decide to drill a longer horizontal well and have many more propped fracs to ensure they achieve a higher flow rate, provided this design meets the economic criteria.

    I hope the Canyon 1H flow test is successful, however, as I mentioned last week on the OMA thread, if we assume the same horiz well length and number of fracs as the recent Shell wells in the Dunk sand, the fact that Canyon 1H is very deep (4600m) and has approx. 0.1 mD permeability in the Kianga makes me think it might not produce anywhere near the rumoured rate from the much shallower Shell well.
