I agree, Tony can not bring himself to lower his standards and behave like Rudd did in opposition. I think he needs to do this to win.
He needs to "me too" everything like Rudd did to Howard. He needs to make warm fuzzy promises to minority groups, he needs to claim economic conservatism just like Rudd. He needs to create a massive amount of spin.
Tony should just follow the Rudd plan, as it is obvious that the spin of the Labor party is just to good despite their multitude of stuff ups.
