Of course these substantial shareholder notices from Macquarie are impenetrable is my experience but let me try. I thought it significant that single poster Ccam asserted last week , on 13 May at 12:04pm - that Macquarie ""They are not carrying stock"". On any inspection of today's notice it is evident that MBL - Macquarie Bank Limited- a bank FFS! has taken a significant loss by buying NIC in volume in the early 60s and selling NIC in volume in the mid 50s. Clearly, the opinion of Macquarie Equities [[ NIC TP 85cents]] counted for little. I am tempted to think that Ccam is a Macquarie insider and is unapproving of MBL's behaviour on the 11th where the evidence suggests that MBL lost 5 cents per NIC on about 10m shares. It is conceivable also that MBL went short through the Tuesday session and maybe felt the need to cover that when NIC management announce that 'no change whatsover in the business'. So, now I believe Ccam . I call him MBL insider. And, quite how they extricated themselves from their long position by the 13th. Who could know. Someone should tell the MBL Non executive directors. yeah bought more NIC today.
