Re: selling being a kneejerk reaction - I don't really disagree but looking at the medium term picture for the ASX if we combine the trend of institutional investors looking more than ever to the NYSE for investments ahead of the ASX and add a trend of delistings and a
move to private equity markets and I wonder how much old rules of long term gains can be relied on?
I know this isn't AGL specific but AGL's potential gains will still be effected by the trend.
The ASX had 2215 entities in 2016 and has 2101 in 2025-present.Noted Aussie shipbuilder - Austal - had a 22% decline in single day's trade and potential buyouts from South Korean firms fell through in the past.Alarming another historical success story might be heading for the delisting list?
All this has me asking if we should be all considering NYSE shares in the portfolio?
Noted that predicting currency markets adds another degree of difficult there.
