ac----its as much in line with the thread as the content having any direct relationship to the matter at hand,i venture most are ignorant of life with one income, the high cost of cars after the second world war,the high cost of living and little scope to improve---people should be grateful
for the opportunity Australians have today as opposed to yesterday, and if they really believe houses are expensive go check out the price of a caravan, you will find they are not cheap either---where i live in 1970 you could buy a good home for $12000 today it would be $400000-you cannot have high disposable incomes and low housing costs--labour costs have
a well established tradition of pushing up prices---in 1970 a good wage was $6000p.a however int.rates were almost double and lending criteria still living under traditional 3x3 bank rules--but i doubt the majority of posters would know what 3x3 means, along with those who talk about 2nd and 3rd mortgages---life is not meant to be easy and it isnt
