NOR has followed the same pattern as every other illiquid penny dreadful. Sell on news. I think you will find there are plenty of amateur day traders stuck with parcels of shares that they will be keen to get rid of as the opportunity presents.

As far as NOR "having long term financial security" goes that's a laugh. They still have very little money in the bank, they owe their chairman almost a million bucks paying close to 60% interest for the previledge, Spark NZ has a year to run and they have no intellectual protection.

The Optus deal provides some income but doesn't go anywhere near clearing their debt and is subject to meeting milestones and performance thresholds. Tenuous at best given NOR's record of failure.
