I agree—he should be transparent about his plan to create shareholder value. But it’s worth noting that he has invested a significant amount of his own money into buying shares. At least he has skin in the game—if HLX’s value drops, so does his investment. He must believe in himself and the company; otherwise, why would he invest and take charge of operations? The bigger question is, why HLX? What did he see here that he didn’t see elsewhere? Hopefully, he has a solid plan that doesn’t come at the expense of existing shareholders. Either way, he’s had more than enough time to finalize it and update the market.
