The cynic in me thinks they put it out to cover themselves for not having sold anything in the first quarter. I hope that's wrong, and reiterating that it's a cynical thought. The main reason i think this is a possibility is because I'm not clear on what the catalyst was for this to go from not being available for sale to being available for sale (and then worthy of an annoucnement)? like did they get a green flag from the FDA? was it a thumbs up from the supplier that they are ready to distribute the product?
to me it *feels* a bit arbitrary. Perhaps they had their own internal checklist and wanted to be absolutely sure everything was on point before selling the product: I could appreciate that but that's just a speculation (albeit less cynical and giving them the benefit of the doubt instead - still the same level of guesswork required). Happy to be told what I missed.
