Tully
We have deployed an aircraft in Queensland and will be capturing the aftermath of Cyclone Yasi in a small town called Tully that has been really hard - subject to Air Traffic Control and weather conditions. The terrain is pretty high around the town so weather and the cloud base will play a key role in determining height and resolution. I grabbed the picture of the twisted goalposts from the ABC news site - if things go according to plan we should have content available on nearmap.com early next week.
The town of Tully in Queensland. We haven't surveyed this area before so this image will be replaced early next week with current imagery of the devastation. Or aim is for nearmap.com to be the first to make this available to our users and help the local community.
