Lowkeyinvestor I am not trying to scare anybody,,but these remodelling and refurbishing can take a long time.
It has been over fifty years since I worked at Gunpowder creek copper mine.The mill was at gunpowder and the ore came from gunpowder underground and Mt Oxide open cut around twenty mills away. The ore contained around 0.03gt gold ,but at that time it was ,not considered viable to build the plant to separate the gold and so all the gold ended up in tailings dam.
Now I have not much idea what the front end looks like,that is primary,,secondary,,tertiary crushers,IS THERE ANOTHER POSTER THAT KNOWS ABOUT THE BLACK SWAN MILL SETUP.THAT Is does it have grinders,,a ball mill etc The front end should be okay with a bit of TLC to go. It is the back end we don’t have and how you build the back end depends on how much time you spend.
For instance if your just putting through only gold ore,this could shave a lot of time of the rebuild,and even than,,there is a couple of scenarios, ONCE you know your input,that is.will it take 150tht per year or 200tht per year. Than you can take another year doing all the workings out how large the CIL tanks need to be and how many required and all the rest of the machinery required including the last piece,,,the gold room. OR. You don’t reinvent the wheel ,,, Once we know the the input ,,you can easily search for another mill somewhere in Aus with the same input which is producing gold at a good recovery rate.,,, Than it should be as easy as COPY AND
PASTE. This could save 12 months .especially while we have these high gold prices.
The other scenario is if you include the silver now or later,the back end needs reshaping a lot more..IF YOUR only selling it as a concentrate,,than not much to do ..if your going to separate the gold,zinc,lead,and a nasty like mercury and other metals than this needs much more planning and time,long term this maybe the right way to go. Sorry I don’t have a crystal ball.Is the price of gold going to stay high….IS silver going to make a full recovery?…Will nickel come back,definitely one day. Just reread above. To separate gold ,lead ,,zinc.etc That is out of the NIMBUS silver mine obviously. As I said at the start .do not want to scare any one .but it is not a quick fix, The company should also know,,Make hay while the sun shines and many hands make light work. G L T A H.
