European markets were all a bit jittery ahead of Trumps tariffs announcement which is due in about three hours time.
The FTSE fell 26 points (.30%), the DAX fell 149 points (.66%) and the CAC fell 17 points (.22%).
US markets were all up overnight. Not sure this will be lasting once tariffs come into effect and the realisation that this will push up inflation over time.
The DOW rose 235 points (.56%), the NBI rose 76 points (1.85%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 151 points (.87%) and the Russell small cap index rose 33 points (1.65%).
Lots of commentary around that S&P company earnings will be down in 2025.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield has dropped to 4.139%
Oil prices nudged up - Brent crude is at US$74.55 per barrel.
Precious metal prices rose - gold is at US$3,132 per oz.
BITCOIN rose to US$85,278.
