In all the chaos of Trumps ‘Independence Day’ tariffs, was an announcement of exemption for 50 critical minerals used by the U.S. It includes rare earths I believe. Apparently it was known by many in the sector. Perhaps this is why today was chosen so PL can touch on it? The only rare earth mine in the US is Mountain Pass , but a Chinese company ( who own part of it ) has the off-take rights for the next few years.
