I wouldnt respond to USA idiocy, let humpty tax his citizens an exrra 25%. There will be an enormous cross trade market being set up (exclude US imports and source from other markets). Volume and product mix subsitutes will be the issues i feel. I want to hear from our pollies as to our plan bs rather than current do nothing and negoitate or raise tariff on US priducts ( inflationary)
Those companies that want to sell into USA will need to manufacture and or assemble in USA.
Gold however is the best angle as there is no tariffs on it so i dont know why gold went down last night, maybe just a shift from gold to bonds is my only thought
