Exactly. Unfortunately it isn’t a level playing field. The problem is though, if the only way to make money now is to short, that can only work till all the share prices are dumped down to nothing. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy of doom basically. All allowed to occur and probably even encouraged by our wonderful ASIC, all in the name of discovery!
Yep, we’ve now discovered that hedge funds own the ASX. We’ve discovered that SMSF owners cannot short stocks so have no choice on how to compete for investment income to boost their super. We’ve discovered that Australian companies are being destroyed. We are discovering that those who wanted to invest for their own future are losing ground monthly.
Lol. I have invested in over 40 different stocks over the last few years, most are very well known Aussie companies and many in the ASX100 or 200. All of these whether I am still invested or not, are lower in value than what they were when I first invested in them.
That is the power of hedge funds. Destroying Australians one stock at a time.
