We just had a few years of Biden tariffs under the IRA act in Vietnam. Trump keeps banging on about getting rare earths out of Ukraine but if you have a look there isn't very much there and the largest or most viable deposits are actually in territory under Russian control, which they think they're keeping. Best case scenario for Vietnam IMO is they open up US access to their massive deposits in a deal for dropping tariffs across the board which would make Ta Khao that much more viable as well and potentially open up further work for BSX in the RE sector like we were hoping a while back. Trump likes to make a deal and he's opening very aggressively with the tariffs, next comes negotiations and he'll see what everyone brings to the table. In the meantime it's a good idea to concentrate on the Phillipines. He hasn't made any secret whatsoever that rare earths is his highest priority, if Vietnam wants to hook him, they know full well how.
