I think we need @kpax and @Icebluedenim to help us understand what is going on here.

It's a bit like peeling off layers from the onion, each layer adding to the understanding of the MOA, and value (ie. closer to purchase or partnership ).

MT mentions that that pharma have stated that they want to see we are not just another rapamycin in our MOA ... seems to be the case.
This test , in my mind, was all about acute exposure, rather than chronic exposure, to see what could be gleaned.

In other words, throw a bucket load of NUZ-001 at the cells for 24 hours and see what happens, rather than a more measured amount over a long period of time. Looks like it has revealed "additional" MoA, in MT's words. It may be this additional MoA that is helping the autophagy pathway regulate itself, and produce the "autophagy" response we see in chronic ( ongoing ) use. In other words ... we are beginning to see how we regulate autophagy, and it isn't the same as rapamycin. Which is want pharma want to see.

So, we are doing more testing to prove that is the case and maybe peel off another layer from the onion.

Unless I am mis-reading this ( which is very possible !! ), it seems like very good news to me.

We are promoting survival of neuronal cells stuffed full of TDP-43 aggregrates - which is all that matters in the end, and it looks like NUZ-001 has it's only hidden pathway to kicking autophagy into action.
