It's a good point, the HIE announcement was bigger than the indication itself. Seems like a good result in HIE would pave the way for looking at TBI again (but with NNZ-2591 and perhaps later down the track). I think TBI should be ahead of any plans to look at other broader indications like Autism. In any case, I would suspect an outstanding result with PMS and the pathway for HIE (and maybe TBI) would be taken care of by the acquirer.
The FX movements are pretty massive too. The annual report showed we held $120m USD in currency as of 31st of December. We didn't recieve the PRV or sales milestone money until Feb 2025, so it is likely a large portion (if not all of it) has been held in USD becuase we have $100m~ in AUD which is sufficent for all our operational costs and other needs.
That $220m~ (Estimated) USD figure is $359m AUD as of right now but the same amount of money back in October could have been around $318m~ so that's nearly $50m AUD~ difference depending on when USD to transferred to AUD.
The AUD is a 5 year low to USD so that difference could almost pay for our current buyback which is wild. This also completely ignores the fact that we earn a reasonable amount of interest of those figures too.
The FX impact has accelerated our devaluation in USD terms. I've posted this chart a lot but it is wild. You can see Acadia hasn't been trading well since the Trump/FDA saga yet they have extended the valuation gap against Neuren even further to the highest amount in 12 months.
