pixby, thats about 9 months ago and tin was on the radar as well. I think before any stockpiling there had to be legislation to allow the funds.
have not heard anymore on this matter since May 2010.
frankly the pentagon seem to be more focused on short term issues rather than longer term, so any stockpiling of rare earths may be some time away.
