I've never really understood the details on how shorts work. Are they all dated a certain date at which they 'mature', or do they just stay open forever until you 'sell' them?I'd have thought that at some point you'd say 'great, I've made a good profit now close them'.
If so, then surely about now would be a great time to close out your shorts.
Unless you think the price is going to go lower still. I note there were a few sell orders at ~$5 this morning.Either way the lower the price goes surely the less attractive it is to short and the total shorts should start going down, not up?
