Australia also periodically has corrupt, incompetent labor governments and totally-out-of-their-depth, appointed PM's, such as we have now.
Maybe we should raise the GST to 12% to create a permanent "labor-government-incompetence/rorts-for-cronies-fund" to ensure that we have enough money put away for labor to waste and syphon off to pay for rorts for unions and cronies during the periods they manage to dupe enough dumbed-down youngsters to get elected.
I would guess that an extra percentage of GST would probably be insufficient for this absolutley necessary fund... maybe another 10 or 15% (total GST 25%) would be a more sensible option...
