I always thought that Renison would love to snatch up VMS, adding their costs to set up the processing plants, any mine life added would increase the return on their investment.

Or if they have excess production capacity for VMS to do a deal with them.

Also you can see by VMS announcement they have a lot of consultants advising to get it right.

Of course exploration to production is challenging and there are risks of costs blowout, but the market is factoring all of these risks at a huge discount to the NPV of this project.
