On algae feedstock tengelsman said
"...where both saline tolerant plantations as well as algea are well advanced, and make excellent low cost feed stocks for the growing biodiesel sector."
There is another advice:
"...Potential investors of algae projects would be wise to do an energy primer before accepting the most optimistic claims of algae..."
