I sincerely respect your relentless attack on shortsellers ! I, for a fact, never respect those who short any shares and imo I think it’s unethical.
Of course, your point of IOP affected by seasonality is true and only thing I tend to ‘not’ agree is the timing of it ! I am a long term shareholder of FMG and NOT interested in trading FMG rather than accumulating when it dips ! I know your point is that you sell when it reaches higher (if you sort of know when it reached HIGH) and wait till it dips to buy in again! In that way you MAY increase your holding though you are almost sure you would forgo/miss divi !
Though I did exactly the same thing with Afterpay as I knew it was never a divi paying stock so I did exactly what you suggest ! I was lucky that I had the guts to take a gamble and bought a truck load when it plunged to $8.01 during covid-meltdown !! I held it till I decided to sell 90% of it at near ATH and I made my wealth!!
However, with FMG, I have the different strategy and it just be a long term holder for divi income !!
So all the attack on you is definitely not intentionally hurting you but to let you know that, I am not in sync with your ideas !!
Of course FMG will do very well in the long run as it’s a low cost, well managed, consistently profitable and divi paying organisation that is in the process of decarbonising and attempting to diversifying its operations !
